Matilda Award Nomination – Best Supporting Actor
Very proud to find out that I have been nominated for a Matilda Award for Best Supporting Actor for my work in Spamalot.
It’s quite an honour to be recognised for this as I was very proud of my work in Spamalot, and to be recognised and nominated out of a cast that was spectacular, is quite frankly, more than a surprise.
I had a terrific fun in this production and getting to work closely with Frank Woodley, Simon Gallaher, Jon English, Julie Anthony, Dash Kruk, Stephen Hirst and Shaun McCallum was a real thrill.
This was my first professional production with Harvest Rain Theatre Company and it was a very rewarding experience. I highly encourage all to audition and support this company as they try to establish a professional Musical Theatre company in Queensland.
SPAMALOT itself is nominated for Best Musical or Cabaret. So hopefully it gets the recognition it deserves.
Once again, completely stoked about the nomination and thanks to all those who came and saw the show.
** UPDATE **
Didn’t win the Best Supporting Actor award – but still a little overwhelmed just to be nominated – only 4 nominations after all.
SPAMLOT went on to win Best Musical or Cabaret – so thrilled and excited for the cast and crew and all at HRTC.
